The Digital Bridges platform offers a wealth of resources designed to foster digital literacy in relation to education, trainings and social innovation. Here you’ll find learning materials, and interactive training materials and last but not least the chance for european exchange.
Our carefully curated curriculum is about digital literacy and provides different approaches.
(see VOLUNTEERS column)
This includes a mentorship and a volunteer strategy, including a sophisticated curriculum and learning materials .
Curriculum Design
We will create a digital literacy curriculum tailored to the elderly, covering essential topics like internet safety, social media, online banking, and accessing e-health services. The curriculum will prioritize clear language, accessibility, and practical examples to ensure it meets the diverse needs of elderly learners, incorporating cultural and regional nuances to enhance relevance.
Training materials
Study, try out, use
This part involves producing a range of training materials supporting the curriculum, including
- video tutorials for visual learners
- interactive e-learning modules for hands-on practice
- and printed guides for those who prefer traditional learning resources
These materials will be designed to engage learners actively, incorporating quizzes and real-life scenarios to encourage the practical application of digital skills.
Pilot Testing
We will conduct pilot testing with a select group of elderly participants to evaluate the effectiveness and user-friendliness of the developed curriculum and materials. Feedback will be gathered through surveys and discussions, focusing on usability, accessibility, and the overall learning experience. This feedback will inform necessary adjustments to ensure the training materials meet the learners’ needs effectively.
Overall, elderly individuals will be equiped with the digital skills needed for confident and safe navigation of the digital world, enhancing their independence and social connectivity. The activities are designed to be iterative, with continuous refinement based on participant feedback to ensure the highest relevance and impact.
